| THE LOOP RT 7, RT 2, RT 8 This ride can be accessed from any point along it's route Pittsfield Center, Head north along RT 7 North Passes thru, Lanesboro, New Ashford, South Williamstown Choice of Route at Five corners, Vanderbuilt Store Stay north on 7 climbs to Williamstown Center, Enter RT 2 Straight after Williamstown Green Right on Route 43, Green River Road Re-Enters RT 2 just past Williams College Campus , Turn Right Follow Rt 2 , to North Adams , Turn Right Rt 8 Follow RT 8 South to Pittsfield Passes Thru Adams,Cheshire and Lanesboro (From Cheshire to Pittsfield there will by Summers end be an Alternate route on the Astwillticook Bike Path )Approx . Mileage 44 miles Pownal Vt. Loop From Pittsfield north on Rt.
7 to Pownal Vt. , Left just past old Dog track on Vt. route
346 to North Petersburg, N.Y. Turn Left on N.Y.State route 22. South to Route 43
Left on Rt. 43 in N.Y. this
re-enters Ma. Hancock Ma. Stay on
Rt. Monday
Night's From Downtown Pittsfield, North Street north to Tyler St.,
Tyler To Dalton Ave.,Take Dalton Ave to Allendale
Shopping Center. turn Right Rt 8
north. follow 8 to Cheshire Center. Turn right at Church St. Traffic
light,
follow Church St.,to School St. Location of the "Cheshire Cheese",
Turn left.
Follow School to Richardson St.
turn left again. Richardson to Cheshire Rd. Rt 8, Turning left again. Retrace
your tracks to Pittsfield progessing
South on Rt. 8 , or you can
return on the Ashtiwllticook
Bike Trail on your right heading south by the Hoosac
